British actor Alan Harris is dead. He died at the age of 81, according to British media reports. He became known for the "Star Wars" films. In the original trilogy, he played various characters, the most famous being bounty hunter Bossk in "The Empire Strikes Back". He was also seen as a stormtrooper in each of the strips.
According to "The Sun", a statement from his artist agency states that Harris has worked for productions like "Flash Gordon", "Superman" or "Doctor Who" in his 30-year career. "He has worked on all three of the original 'Star Wars' films, with his most significant role being that of the bounty hunter Bossk, who was tasked in 'The Empire Strikes Back' to track down the Millennium Falcon."
The actor later performed at science fiction conventions and comic cons worldwide. Harris "loved meeting his fans, signing autographs and telling stories about his time in the film business," the agency said.
