Alan Wake 2: THQ Nordic offers to publish the game in physical version

Last week, we finally heard from Alan Wake 2the new horror and action game from RemedyEntertainment. The title will arrive next October on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, but only in dematerialized version, enough to curb the desire to buy the title to a lot of players.

The Finnish studio justifies itself by explaining that fewer and fewer players are buying a physical version, that this lowers the cost of selling the game and avoids having to download an update even after inserting the disc into the console. But that’s not enough for players who swear by the boxes, they have a bunch of advantages (resale and used, loan to friends, etc.) and many fans are asking for a physical edition of Alan Wake 2 on social networks.

Remedy has not yet reacted to these requests, but THQ Nordic posted a message on social networks to let it be known that he would like to publish Alan Wake 2 in physical version. The studio recalls that it had already published the first Alan Wake at the time (under the name of Nordic Games) and that “just because ONE person (or company) doesn’t like physicality”, there are still a lot of people who like boxes.

Will that be enough for Remedy change his tune? In any case, the message of THQ Nordic has passed, all that remains is to wait to find out if Alan Wake 2 will be entitled to its physical edition. The release date of the game is set for October 17, 2023you can already find Alan Wake Remastered To €19.99 on Amazon.
