Alarm in the morning hours – major operation: Stable in Tyrol was destroyed by flames

Fire alarm on Sunday in the early hours of the morning in the Tyrolean lowlands: a stable burst into flames in Hopfgarten im Brixental (Kitzbühel district). More than 100 emergency services responded and fought the fire in freezing temperatures. Apparently all of the animals were saved except for one cow.

At around 6 a.m. an emergency call was received by the Tyrol control center. A fire broke out in a stable building in Hopfgarten im Brixental in the Aussalvenberg area. As the FF Hopfgarten told the “Krone” in the morning, the stable building burned down completely. The operation was still in progress. The fire-fighting water was supplied, among other things, from a nearby fish pond. The cause of the fire was still unclear. According to the fire department, all animals except one cow were rescued and brought to safety. According to the police, there have been no reports of any injuries to date. The cause of the fire is also currently completely unclear.
