On the side of the Renault Florida green of Princess Grace, we found the Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Stephanie of Monaco. The museum is a way for the family to continue the passion started by Prince Rainier III towards the end of the 1950s. There would have been a “extensive and intimate collection of vintage vehicles“. Soon the garage of the Palace became too small for the famous collection which kept growing. Prince Rainier then had the good idea toexpose their collection to the public eye. It was in 1993 that his collection was able reach the premises located on the terraces of Fontvieille.

However, the premises were not very attractive. This is why the Prince Albert II wanted to give back a more prestigious touch to his father’s collectionwhich prompted him to search for a new, more interesting place to accommodate cars. Currently, they benefit froma place of choice in the heart of Monaco.
