Albioma: KKR obtains 83.4% of the capital following the takeover bid, the offer will soon be reopened


PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Renewable energy producer Albioma announced on Monday that the KKR fund held 83.44% of its capital and voting rights after the friendly takeover bid closed on Monday. July 27.

The offer will soon be reopened at the same price, the company added.

The American fund KKR filed a takeover bid for Albioma in mid-May at a price of 50 euros per share, ex-dividend, and intends to withdraw the renewable energy producer from the listing if it obtains at least 90% of the capital. .

The offer received the support of Albioma’s board of directors and its main shareholders. Bpifrance, which holds 5% of the company, concluded an agreement on May 13 by which the public bank undertakes to invest alongside KKR in the company.
