(CercleFinance.com) – Alcoa will increase the casting capacity of its Deschambault foundry in Canada. The project will be fully completed in the first quarter of 2023.
The addition of standard ingot casting to the site’s capabilities will allow greater flexibility for small batch alloying to meet customer needs for value-added products such as foundry alloys for the automotive industry .
“We are working directly with a customer to bring this production capacity online to meet the specific needs of the North American market,” said Kelly Thomas, executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
