(CercleFinance.com) – Alcon gained nearly 1% in Zurich, the day after the ophthalmology laboratory raised its EPS and sales forecasts for the whole of 2023, on the occasion of publication of its second quarter results.
Thus, he now anticipates for the current year a ‘core’ EPS between 2.70 and 2.80 dollars (and no longer between 2.55 and 2.65 dollars) as well as revenues between 9.3 and 9, 5 billion dollars (instead of 9.2 to 9.4 billion in the previous target range).
Over the past quarter, Alcon earned core EPS of $0.69, up 10%, with core operating margin improved by 1.5 points to 19.9% on revenue of 2.4 billion, up 9% (+12% at constant exchange rates).
