Actually, customers in the Aldi online shop should have been able to order a gaming PC from Medion with an RTX 3070 Ti since last Thursday – but most interested parties should have gone away empty-handed. No wonder, the game computer was sold out after a short time. We have looked for cheap alternatives for you.

It can go that fast. The Medion Erazer Hunter X20 was not even available in Aldi’s online shop for a day. No wonder, after all, graphics cards are still in short supply at the moment, so buying a ready-made PC is often worthwhile.
The other two gaming computers that Aldi still had on offer also are now out of stock. So for everyone who is looking for a new gaming computer, it’s time to wait and see. Because we know from the past that Aldi usually does not add any new goods, so interested parties have to wait for the next special offer.
But are there currently similarly potent alternatives in other shops? We took a look around:
- HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop (Ryzen 5 5600G, Radeon RX 6600 XT16 GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD, no OSWiFi + Bluetooth) for 999.00 euros at NBB
- Medion Erazer Engineer P10 (Intel Core i5-11400, RTX 306016 GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD, windows 11, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth) for 1,099.90 euros at Medion
- Medion Erazer Engineer P10 MT (Intel Core i5-10400, RTX 3060 Ti16 GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD, windows 11) for 1,199.90 euros at NBB

Gaming PC with RTX 3070 Ti: How cheap is the Aldi computer really?
The performance of the Medion Erazer Hunter X20 is enough to play the latest games with maximum graphics settings in WQHD resolution or even in 4K resolution. However, if you also want to get ray tracing running in order to be able to admire even better shadows, reflections and lighting, you may also have to activate Nvidia DLSS in order to continue to be able to achieve smooth frame rates.
In the video we explain exactly how Nvidia manages to increase performance in games thanks to DLSS:
In contrast to the cheap model with the current i5 processor, Medion also provides its i7-12700K for the Hunter X20 the more modern DDR5 memory aside. The combination of K processor and Z690 motherboard also allows users to to overclock the processor and squeeze even more power out of the chip. However, potential buyers should not forget that this also increases the temperature and power consumption of the system.
However, that still a HDD installed in a system that costs 2,500 euros should offend many gamers. Installing a second PCIe SSD would have been a much more elegant solution.
But what about the price now? Is it justified? We have put together a system with similar components and currently come up with a purchase price of 2,523.03 euros (Status: 04.02.2022 via geizhals.de). In other words: If you want to assemble the PC yourself, you even pay extra – just under 23 euros.
The Medion Erazer Hunter X20, which will be sold in Aldi’s online shop from January 27, 2022, is definitely not a bad deal due to the current hardware crisis. The bottom line is that the other gaming PC offers from the discounter are even more worthwhile. Nevertheless, it can be assumed that the high-end system will be sold out shortly after its launch. So if you want to strike, you should hurry up tomorrow morning.
