Medion uses the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H as the CPU, which is a bit slower when gaming in 1080p than the Core i7-11800H, which is also used in the price range. But the Ryzen 7 5800H is more energy efficient, which results in a longer battery life. The processor is supported by 16 GB DDR4 RAM with 3200 MHz, which is absolutely sufficient for gaming.

For the graphics card, Medion relies on an RTX 3070, whose Total Graphics Power (TGP) can access up to 130 watts. You should be able to play most games with the highest graphics settings in Full HD without any problems. Performance-hungry titles that require more than 6 GB of video memory are an exception – you’ll have to scale down here.

The 17.3″ IPS display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 144 Hz. Your data will find its place on a 1 TB PCIe SSD – next to the pre-installed Windows 11 in the Home version. The device is heavy Relatively light at 2.4 kilograms for the equipment, but this is at the expense of the battery life, which Medion specifies with 3 hours of video playback.

  • 17.3-inch IPS display with 2560 x 1440 pixels and 165 Hz

  • AMD Ryzen 9 5900H (3.3 to 4.6 GHz, 8 cores / 16 threads, 16 MB L3 cache)

  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 with 16 GB GDDR6 video memory (up to 1,605 MHz, 165 watts TGP)

  • 64GB DDR4 RAM (up to 3200MHz)

  • 2TB PCIe SSD

  • 2 speakers with Sound Blaster Cinema 6+

  • RGB backlit keyboard with 16.7 million colors

  • WiFi 6 & Bluetooth 5

  • 6-cell Li-polymer high-performance battery with 91.2 Wh (3-hour battery life)

  • Windows 11 Home preinstalled

  • W x H x D: approx. 39.5 x 2.6 x 26.2 cm, approx. 2.3 kg

Medion relies on the AMD Ryzen 7 5900H CPU, the second fastest mobile CPU from the AMD stable with eight CPU cores and clock rates of up to 4.6 GHz. The processor is supported by a whopping 64 GB DDR4 RAM with 3200 MHz, which is a bit excessive for gaming. But as the saying goes: a lot helps a lot! With the graphics card, Medion goes all out and installs an RTX 3080, whose power consumption can be up to 165 watts.

The 17.3″ IPS display has a resolution of 1440p (WQHD) at 165 Hz. Your data will find its place on a 2 TB PCIe SSD next to the pre-installed Windows 11 in the Home version. The device weighs 2 .3 kilograms relatively light for the equipment, but this is at the expense of the battery life, which Medion specifies with 3 hours of video playback.

Bottom line, apart from the exaggerated 64GB of RAM, the laptop is configured sensibly. You should be able to play all games with the highest graphics settings in WQHD without any problems – including ray tracing. The price is very cheap, comparable gaming notebooks like that
