Alex and Hilaria Baldwin will soon be parents again. In an Instagram video, they reveal the gender of their seventh child.
US actor Alec Baldwin (64) and his wife Hilaria (38) are currently expecting their seventh child together. In an emotional Instagram video the entire family has now revealed the gender of the baby: it will be a girl!
“It’s always been fun and meaningful to me to find out the gender of my baby,” Hilaria Baldwin wrote on the video. “But, as I grow and learn, I want to do it a little differently this time. What will make our baby a loving, complete person? What is important? What will make him feel visible, free, and proud?”
Important messages for the new family member
The oldest children Carmen (8), Rafael (6), Leonardo (5) and Romeo (3) also answer these questions in the video and give the unborn family member their wishes and advice. “One trait doesn’t define you,” says father-to-be Alec Baldwin. Daughter Carmen adds: “You are a complicated and multi-faceted person.” And six-year-old Rafael adds: “Have the courage to look inside.” Son Leonardo gives the tip: “Leave this world better than you found it.”
“Don’t hesitate to explore and live out all parts of your identity,” says Hilaria Baldwin. “You don’t have to prove yourself to anyone.” Then she announces, “I can’t wait to meet you, my daughter.” The six Baldwin children are also happy about the arrival of their “little sister”, as can be seen from the video.
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been a couple since 2011 and tied the knot in June 2012. Their first child together, Carmen, was born in 2013. After Rafael in 2015, Leonardo in 2016 and Romeo in 2018, the fifth child, Eduardo, followed in September 2020 and the couple’s second daughter, Lucia, in 2021, who was born via a surrogate mother. Alec Baldwin has adult daughter Ireland, 26, from a previous relationship with Kim Basinger, 68.
