VfL Wolfsburg stole two points from FC Bayern

The 34th season in the women’s Bundesliga starts a few weeks after the early World Cup exit for German footballers with a draw for FC Bayern. Wolfsburg, on the other hand, is not showing any weakness. Before the game, the wolf Alexandra Popp is honored and then she gets started.

Premier class aspirant TSG 1899 Hoffenheim celebrated the highest league win in its club history with a 9-0 win against MSV Duisburg. Coach Stephan Lerch was happy about “a sensational start”. Newcomers 1. FC Nürnberg suffered a 1:5 defeat against Werder Bremen, newcomers RB Leipzig suffered a 1:2 defeat at 1. FC Köln.
The Bayern women conceded the equalizer in Freiburg in the seventh minute of injury time from joker Svenja Fölmli, who had picked up the ball in her hand shortly before the goal. But unlike in the men’s Bundesliga, there is currently no VAR for the women. 13,234 spectators in the Dreisamstadion created an atmospheric backdrop.
