We had to wait almost two and a half years until the third season of “Alex Rider” finally started. Now the new episodes have a start date, on April 5, 2024 the series is coming to Amazon. Unlike the previous seasons, season 3 is not part of Amazon Prime Video, but can be streamed for free via Freevee.

In the first trailer for season 3 of “Alex Rider” we see Alex investigating his father’s death and finding out that he was murdered. In the new episodes, the young spy does everything he can to solve the murder and find out why his father had to die.
Alex Rider Season 3: Plot
The third season of “Alex Rider” is based on the fifth volume of the “Alex Rider” book series entitled “Scorpia”. In the book, Alex must face his greatest enemy: the elusive criminal network Scorpia.
The organization plans to blackmail the British government with a new superweapon: the invisible sword. Independent of the Ministry, Alex and his friends Tom and Kyra set out to stop Scorpia. It will be a very personal mission for Alex, as his connection to the organization goes deeper than initially thought.
Alex Rider Season 3: Cast
The main role of Alex Rider will be played by Otto Farrant (“In the Heart of the Jungle”). His friends Tom Harris and Kyra are taken over by Brenock O’Connor (“Game of Thrones”) and Marli Siu (“Dixi”). New from season 3 are: Josh Taylor (“Ancient Empires”) and Ayla Devall (“The Beekeeper”).

“Alex Rider” is based on the book series of the same name by Anthony Horowitz, which currently includes 14 volumes. The screenplay for the series comes from Guy Burt (“The Medici: Rulers of Florence”). Season 3 was directed by Brian O’Malley (“That Dirty Black Bag”).
