Alexander Klaws
Open words about couples therapy with wife Nadja
Alexander Klaws and Nadja Scheiwiller became parents for the third time around a month and a half ago. At Gala on TV, the singer now emphasizes that everyday life with three children is not always easy and reveals how couples therapy with his wife is going.
Alexander Klaws, 41, and his wife Nadja Scheiwiller became parents to another boy at the end of August, following their sons Lenny, 7, and Flynn Milow, 4. “We are in love and infinitely grateful that our little Lion, healthy and happy, completes our ‘wild Klaws bunch’!” cheered the musical actor on Instagram. At Gala on TV – again this week with Mareile Höppner, 47 – the singer now speaks openly about his turbulent everyday family life and the couples therapy that he does together with his loved one.
Alexander Klaws on everyday family life: “We don’t even know how we manage it”
“It’s definitely very turbulent,” says Alexander Klaws about family life with three kids and emphasizes: “I can sit here and then I always have to pay tribute to my wife for rocking it right now. Of course, we always have support .” He is very grateful for his parents and in-laws, who are always involved. He further explains that his wife is also an actress and singer, which is why the couple has to plan a lot in advance.
“Sometimes we sit there at the beginning of the year, have the plan in front of us and don’t even know how we’re going to do it. That’s exactly when such issues arise that we don’t take enough time for ourselves as a couple. It’s quicker, than you can see,” said the 41-year-old.
The singer and his wife are doing couples therapy
The trigger for couples therapy was that there was sometimes a problem in everyday life. In addition, their exciting jobs would also rob them of time for togetherness. “You just have to take care of it. So a relationship in general and especially a marriage means work,” says the former DSDS winner. Because if you don’t actively take the time to do it, you’ll end up living a bit apart.
During the corona pandemic, topics also came to the table “that you always put off and then you can no longer get around them.” Couples therapy helped Alexander Klaws and Nadja Scheiwiller a lot, which is why they are continuing it. Because: “It’s like training. You keep training all the time in order to get better and better. And the footballer is not finished with training, but can still develop further. And it’s the same in a relationship.”
