Alexandra de Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory delighted: their first child was born!

Alexandra de Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory are on cloud nine. In a brief press release, shared on the official X account (formerly Twitter), the Grand Ducal Court announced that the couple had welcomed their first child. “The Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess have the great joy of announcing the birth of their granddaughter Victoire, first child of their daughter Alexandra and their son-in-law Nicolas, born this Tuesday, May 14 in Paris”, can we read on the famous social network. And conclude: “Both mother and child are doing well.”

A birth that quickly brought joy to Internet users. “Congratulations to the happy parents and proud grandparents”, “All my congratulations to the whole family for this new marvel”, can we read among the many comments. The fairy tale continues for Alexandra de Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory. Just one year ago, on April 29, 2023, the only daughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa said ‘yes’ for life to this Breton professor. A few days after a civil ceremony organized at the town hall of Luxembourg, the two lovebirds reiterated their vows in the small Saint-Trophyme church in Bormes-les-Mimosas (Var). The bride and groom and their guests then headed to the family home, the Tour Sarrazine, where the reception took place. With the arrival of their daughter, a new chapter begins for Alexandra de Luxembourg and Nicolas Bagory.

Alexandra of Luxembourg: her brother Félix dad for the third time

Henri and Maria Teresa from Luxembourg are the head of a large and beautiful family. Before Alexandra de Luxembourg gave birth to her daughter Victoire, her brother Félix de Luxembourg became a father for the third time, on January 7. Already parents to Amalia and Liam, the prince and his wife Claire welcomed a little boy named Balthasar. “We are happy to announce the birth of our son, born on January 7, 2024, at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital”, the couple said in an official statement published on X (formerly Twitter). Signed symbolically by their two other children, the press release also specifies that “the baby and Princess Claire are in perfect health”.

The little prince showed up at the Grand Duchess Charlotte maternity ward, the same where the couple’s eldest daughter was born in June 2014. The choice of the name Balthasar could be in reference to one of the three wise men, celebrated on Epiphany, shortly before the birth of the prince. The middle name, Félix, is a tribute to his father, Prince Félix, as well as Princess Claire’s brother, Félix Lademacher. With eight grandchildren, Henri and Maria Teresa from Luxembourg are happy grandparents.
