The website The Cinetek regularly asks directors to provide a list of their favorite films. Recently, director Alexandre Astier revealed the list of his 50 favorite feature films. On the program: comedies of course, with or without Louis de Funès, but also thrillers, SF, dramas and a western.

We spot a very specific Star Wars film in the list, but also quite a few feature films directed by Jean Gabin, Apollo 13, which recalls Astier’s love for space, or even Amadeus and Les Vestiges du jour, which he also love it for their soundtracks and how they mesh perfectly with the images.
