The sequence, which made a huge buzz, apparently did not please Alexandre Lacazette at all, who wanted to make things clear by confiding in the sports daily L’Equipe a few days later. Because the latter revealed that there was actually nothing funny about his loss of voice, which has been going on since the beginning of the summer. The captain of the Lyon football club suffers from a disease that can turn out to be very serious: a polyp in the vocal cords.

While this disease can be serious by being a sign of cancer, the polyp of Alexandre Lacazette would seem to have no long-term impact on his state of health. As proof, the French striker decided not to have surgery until the end of September, to be sure that he does not miss any of his team’s championship matches because this period corresponds to the international break. The operation will take place in the middle of next week, in Lyon, before a few days of rest. It’s not nothing: the attacker has actually been voiceless since the beginning of the summer.

Now 31 years old, Alexandre Lacazette has decided to sign a new contract with his lifelong club, Lyon, after five seasons spent scouring the grounds of England in the jersey of Arsenal. Big star of the French championship, the striker of the club of Jean-Michel Aulas had kicked into touch when one of the consultants of Amazon Prime, Rio Mavuba, had asked him the reasons for his extinction of voice at the end of the sequence.
