If she is today one of the most famous producers in the country, Alexia Laroche-Joubert did not have an easy schooling and had to deal with several learning disabilities such as dyslexia or dysorthographia.

It is a poignant testimony shared by Alexia Laroche-Joubert. The famous producer was in the spotlight in the last episode of the podcast Pausereleased Wednesday, February 9 on all streaming platforms.

At the microphone of Alexandre Mars, the former director of the Star Academy castle spoke of her childhood and her schooling. Alexia Laroche-Joubert thus delivered a very personal account of a difficult period for her, due to several learning disabilities. “I was multi-dys. I had lots of d: dyslexic, dysorthographic…she confided in the podcast Pause.

It was only at the age of eleven that Alexia Laroche-Joubert learned to read and write. “When I got into sixth grade, I only knew how to write my last name. And thanks to mum, who had a lot of humor, I knew how to write spelling”remembered the one who faced the death of her 25-year-old little brother a few months ago.

Alexia Laroche-Joubert: “It was a trauma”

The producer remembers a time when this type of disorder was not quickly diagnosed, leaving her in total confusion with the difficulties she was encountering. I was diagnosed very late, so in the end, I ran into total misunderstanding, both from my parents, because my mother was very bright. She had to pass the ENA, but in the end, she got me. And it was more than a difficulty, it was one of the dramas of my lifeshe said.

If the essential producer of the PAF, daughter of an advertiser and a great reporter, came out perfectly, she keeps a bitter memory of these years. Several decades after his childhood, this memory continued to haunt her. So much so that she burst into tears in front of her daughter Isaure, during a consultation with a child psychiatrist, following the death of her husband. “The woman asks me a stupid question, saying, ‘How was school for you?’ And I break down in tears. A torrent of tears, because it was a traumashe testified.
