Launched on December 22 on Netflix, the second season of “Alice in Borderland” met with immediate success, becoming the most watched Japanese series of all time during its launch weekend!
She had been expected for two years, and it is therefore no surprise that the second season of Alice in Borderland has met with great success on Netflix! Better still, the adaptation of Haro Asō’s manga (available from Tonkam/Delcourt editions) has entered the record books, becoming the most viewed Japanese series on the occasion of its launch weekend, totaling more than 61 million hours of viewing!
Although a third season season is not planned, the entire work having been transposed to the screen, there is no doubt that this success should give Netflix more ideas.
Recall that the manga Alice in Borderland has been the subject of several spin-offs, thus giving the platform the possibility of exploring the universe of the game through new protagonists.
In addition, Netflix will focus on adapting other successful manga, including the series live action One Piece, or the live-action feature films inspired by My Hero Academia and City Hunter. Hoping that these projects are more inspired than the film Death Note, the sequel to which no longer seems to be on the agenda…
