Alice Weidel, the chairman of the AfD parliamentary group, has Corona according to a media report and is said to be in quarantine.

The AfD politician Alice Weidel (42) was infected with the corona virus. This is reported by the German Press Agency. Weidel’s spokesman Daniel Tapp confirmed on November 11th that the chairman of the AfD parliamentary group had found “flu-like symptoms” and then underwent a corona test.

Weidel “immediately went into quarantine at home,” it continues. And I will not be vaccinated for the foreseeable future either”, Weidel had explained, among other things, in the “ZDF morning magazine” at the end of July.

In October, Tino Chrupalla (46), alongside Weidel in the dual leadership of the AfD parliamentary group, also tested positive for Covid-19 and went into quarantine at home.

More than 50,000 new infections

According to Dashboard of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) Meanwhile, more than 50,000 new corona infections were reported for the first time in Germany within one day. Due to the high incidence values, there should be a Prime Minister’s Conference next Thursday, as NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (46, CDU) has confirmed on Twitter. “The corona situation is getting worse and worse. More and more people are getting sick with #Covid. That can’t leave us indifferent,” said Wüst, among other things.
