Alicia Silverstone: Media referred to her as a "fat girl" in the 1990s

The term bodyshaming should not have existed for many years, but this does not change the fact that Alicia Silverstone (43), as a well-known actress, had to justify herself for her body in the 1990s. The 43-year-old remembers in a recent interview with the British "Guardian".

"They made fun of my body when I was younger," explains Silverstone. Based on her role in "Batman & Robin" (1997), some media would have called her "Fatgirl" and not "Batgirl". Paparazzi would also have called for her in part. "It hurt, but I knew they were wrong." It didn't mess them up. "I knew that it was not okay to make fun of someone for their body shape." You shouldn't do something like that to another person.

She still wants a remake

In "Batman & Robin" Silverstone played alongside George Clooney (58), Uma Thurman (49), Arnold Schwarzenegger (72) and Michael Gough (1916-2011). The actress recently said in a conversation with "Collider" that she loved to shoot especially with the latter. The fight scenes with Thurman would also have been fun. "But I would like to do everything again," continued Silverstone. She thinks she can do everything "much better" today. At the time, "Batman & Robin" at the box office fell well short of expectations.
