Alien: Isolation At the movie theater ?

Fans have been waiting for a new film for seven years Alienand they only have a few more months to wait to see their patience rewarded, in what comes close to an adaptation (at least in spirit) of the excellent video game Alien: Isolationreleased in 2015.

This ninth film in the franchise will center on a group of young travelers who undertake excavations in an abandoned space station, until they find themselves confronted with the most terrifying life form in the universe…

A ship in distress, a decimated crew, a distressing closed session and the return of (many!) facehuggers… No doubt, this Alien: Romulus seems to distance itself from the biblical dimensions of Prometheus And Covenantand reconnect with a more modest setting and the horrific DNA of the original film.

Directed and co-written by Fede Alvarez (evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) and produced by the indestructible Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator), the film will be set between the events of the first Alien (released in 1979) and its sequel Aliensdirected by James Cameron in 1986.

Alien: Romulus will also present us with a cast of young talents: Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Civil War), Isabel Merced (Transformers: The Last Knight), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), David Jonsson (Industry), Archie Renaux (Upgraded) and Aileen Wu.

It should be noted that alongside this new film, a series Alien created by Noah Hawley (Fargo) is currently being filmed, and that it will take place at the end of the 21st century, before Ripley’s adventures.
