After launching the very first QD-OLED monitor on the market in 2022, Alienware will soon move to the stage of expanding its range, with the introduction of two new QD-OLED models of 34 and 27 inches respectively.

We knew the AW3423DW, quickly followed by the excellent AW3423DWF, which abandoned its G-Sync Ultimate certification and its dedicated chip at the start of the year in order to be sold 200 euros less. Today, Alienware lets us know that it intends to continue even stronger in the QD-OLED PC screen sector.

Two new QD-OLED screens arrive at Alienware

Through a first press release which is quite laconic for the moment, Dell’s gaming subsidiary announces the arrival at the beginning of next year of two new QD-OLED monitors: the AW3225QF and the AW2725DF . The first will be a 32-inch 4K model, while the second will adopt a 27-inch format and a “simple” QHD definition.

In both cases, the refresh rate will be higher than that of the current AW3423DWF, which is satisfied with 175 Hz. We learn in fact that the 32 inch/4K model will go up to 240 Hz, compared to 360 Hz on the 27-inch/QHD model.

Launch early next year

For the time being, Alienware remains silent on the image format offered (32:9, 21:9, 16:9?) by these two new screens. We also do not know, at this stage, what their precise technical specifications will be, but the firm seems, on the other hand, to respond to the concerns of certain users by promising a three-year guarantee against markings (“burn-in”) which could appear on the QD-OLED panel of these new monitors. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough, as this type of problem tends to emerge in the long term.

Regardless, Alienware promises in either case “ incredible colors “. However, we learn that only the 34-inch/4K model will be curved. The brand finally promises to transmit to us “ more details soon “. There is no doubt that prices will also be communicated to us on this occasion, because for the moment, we do not know how much these two monitors will cost. Patience, therefore…
