The couple separated after nearly twenty years together. This week, the forty-year-old made a notable appearance when Vladimir Putin delivered his fifth inauguration speech, according to the Daily Star. She notably praised the Russian president, referring to him for the first time since their separation.
“A special military operation is underway, it’s not easy, but it’s great that people came to the elections, supported the President, the politics and we, as voters, see that our leader does not does not count on foreign countries, but he counts on his own people”, she explained. And to add: “This is the key to all our successes and victories.” Since her breakup with the 71-year-old, Alina Kabaeva has returned to her Olympic roots and spent more time at his gymnastics academy in Sochi on the Black Sea.

The former partner of Vladimir Putin, however, did not comment on her breakup with the Russian president, who has had a new partner for several months. The 39-year-old woman’s name is Ekaterina Mizulina, but she is better known as Katya. A Ukrainian media critic would even call it “Barbie”. The latter is very different from Alina Kabaeva, in the sense that she is blonde and has a profile on social networks, compared to the brunette and mysterious gymnast.
Ekaterina Mizulina has been at the forefront of Russia’s crackdown on anti-war online content and is also the biggest name to support anti-LGBT legislation in the country. For a Russian relative, “Ekaterina is very much to Putin’s liking.” But the alleged couple has not spoken on the subject and the Russian president always knows how to be discreet about his private life.
