The “Tagesthemen” presenter Aline Abboud announced her pregnancy with a baby bump photo.

Aline Abboud (35) has announced her pregnancy with an Instagram photo. “The only night shift I’m looking forward to,” she wrote about the picture in which she stands in front of a front door in Berlin with a baby bump and looks into the distance.

Her colleagues are enthusiastic about the baby news. Moderator Louis Klamroth (33) left some emojis with heart eyes and moderator Caren Miosga (54) commented: “Congratulations dear Aline!!!” Other well-wishers included journalist Eva Schulz (33), presenter Esther Sedlaczek (37) and author Louisa Dellert (33).

From ZDF to Erste

Aline Abboud was born in East Berlin in 1988. She studied Arabic at the University of Leipzig until 2013 and worked for various media during her studies. After a traineeship at the German Bundestag, she moved to ZDF. At the beginning of June it was announced that the previous “Tagesthemen” presenter Pinar Atalay (45) was moving to the private broadcaster RTL on August 1st in order to help shape the expansion of the information and news offerings there. Since September 2021, Abboud has been moderating the “Tagesthemen” as Atalay’s successor, alternating with Ingo Zamperoni (49) and Caren Miosga.
