Alizé Cornet, qualified for the first time in the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam, in this case at the Australian Open, is in a relationship with Michael Kuzaj, also her coach.
For the very first time in her career, after 63 Grand Slam tournaments and 17 years of tennis career, Alizé Cornet qualified for her very first Major quarter-final, in Melbourne. To hope, why not, to slip into the half or even the final of the Australian Open, the young woman knows that she can count on the support of his companion, Michael Kuzaj.
The latter is also its agent and his trainer. And sometimes the border between professional life and private life is difficult to maintain for Alizé Cornet. This was particularly the case on February 14, 2018. Opposed to Karolína Pliskova in Doha, the Frenchwoman appealed to the advice of Michael Kuzaj who then joined her at the edge of the court. The young man then gives him some advice, which has the gift of make Alizé Cornet see red. “Wait, the match debriefing is after the match! (…) Do you want to put me in the bottom of the mine, put my head in the bucket by telling me that I got out of the match? But you realize what you’re doing, that it’s aggressive”, could we hear from the mouth of the tenniswoman from images revealed by beIN Sports.
Since then, the climate seems to have calmed down between the two lovebirds. The same evening, moreover, they appeared very in love for a Valentine’s Day party. At the Australian Open, nothing like that either between the French champion and her darling Michael Kuzaj. And maybe that’s not so bad…
