Everything new in FUT mode on EA Sports FC 24
Find here all the main announcements made by EA during its presentation of the FUT mode of the new football game that will replace FIFA 24 at the start of the school year. We will also add information presented only to media and influencers.
FUT Evolutions
The concept is brand new but very interesting. Indeed, you will be able to develop a player throughout the season. Choose a player, achieve objectives and you can improve it.
You will have the possibility to improve its stats as well as aspects like the stars of skill moves and weak foot.
Players in FUT
EA confirms once again the presence of professional players in EA Sports FC 24 and in particular in the FUT mode. As a reminder, 5 women’s professional leagues are on the program when the game is released, with the English, Spanish, German, French and American league in addition to the women’s LDC.
Collective in EA Sports FC 24
The collective system does not change even with the arrival of the players. A Chelsea player in the women’s league will have a link with a male player from the same nation but also with a Chelsea player in the men’s league. On the other hand, the leagues (male and female Premier League) are not linked.
The only change is related to Icons, which will provide a +1 in league chemistry for all your players. Thus, a Pelé will provide a boost to all leagues, to make these cards more important in creating your dream team.
Note that secondary positions now allow a player to be swapped without having to use a position change.
Playstyles, the great novelty of EA Sports FC 24
As mentioned in previous deep dives, Playstyles replace traits on cards. These have been redesigned, with more active traits and the possibility of evolving them into a more powerful version: the Playstyle+.

Our opinion on the FUT conference
For once, we are a little surprised to have learned absolutely nothing during this presentation. Our leaks on EA Sports FC 24 had in the end fully covered the subjects presented here, including even subjects not covered in the video.
Beyond that, the key thing for us is Playstyles. If they bring as much as hoped, it would transform the experience a bit in game and some cards.
Conversely, we are really afraid that the concept of FUT Evolutions is very limited. Even with some explanations, we have more questions after the video than before it, as the details are left in the dark. How many players can be selected to be evolved? Should we delete an improved player if we want to improve another? Can a Mbappé Or be improved? What about special cards? How far can a card be progressed?
The collective aspect is even more complex with the women’s and men’s leagues, which will limit the interest of many women’s cards outside of the major nations.
In the end, the whole issue around FUT mode comes down to the quality of the servers, the gameplay and the content offered each day. These three points have absolutely not been addressed, as have the game modes (Rivals, FUT Champ etc).
