The German national football team started the European Championship at home with a convincing victory. Coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team won the opening match on June 14 in Munich against Scotland 5:1 (3:0).
A total of 51 matches are scheduled for the tournament: In the preliminary round, the 24 teams from the European Championship participants will compete against each other in six groups. The round of 16 begins on Saturday, June 29th, and the final is scheduled for Sunday, July 14th.
