Bronzer? We love We’ll tell you here that the beauty all-rounder can do a lot more than just tan our cheeks. And of course also what you should pay attention to when choosing the perfect bronzer.

The bronzer is THE epitome of a fresh, tanned complexion. If we want to look more awake, then the beauty product (besides concealer) is our first choice. A bronzer can do so much more than just look beautiful on our cheeks. We asked Katharina Glassl, bronzing queen and make-up expert at Guerlain, what we absolutely need to know.

Bronzer: You need to know that

Bronzers are versatile tools in the entire beauty industry. You can use them to contour your face as well as for your cleavage to make it appear luscious. I also like to use bronzer as an eyeshadow, it’s quick and always looks natural and still gives the eye make-up a little depth. In summer you can also wear a bronzer on your shoulders or arms.

So bronzer isn’t just perfect for our cheeks, it’s also the perfect travel product. We can do almost anything with him. However, we all know that not all bronzers are created equal. There are different undertones and finishes. So which one is the right one?

“Bronzers that have a little shimmer are particularly suitable for women who have been young for a while. Because fine shimmer particles lay in lines and wrinkles and allow the light to reflect, which alleviates the signs of old age Bronzer with a shimmer, also for bridal make-up. Because it simply gives make-up a wonderful freshness and glow, “explains Katharina. Matte bronzer, on the other hand, is more likely to be used when modeling a face and wanting to work out more ups and downs. This is usually the case with evening make-up or gala make-up.

Katharina’s professional tip: “In everyday life I would combine both bronzers. First work out the contour of the face with a matt bronzer and then blend the whole thing with a shimmering bronzer. This gives the make-up a little more naturalness. “

In addition to the matt and shimmering bronzes, there are of course the different textures. Cream products are increasingly finding their way into our beauty bags, powder bronzers are usually a little easier to use. The expert recommends:

If I use a liquid or creamy foundation under the bronzer and do not fix it with powder, then a cream bronzer is always used because it is very easy to apply and does not get stained. If I have a powder base, either because I set my foundation with a powder or because I use a powder foundation, then I use a powder bronzer. It’s also easy to remember, cream on cream, powder on powder. Everything else becomes stained very easily and cannot be blended nicely.
