“All Skitoyens”: a resort in Haute-Savoie offers a 1 euro package for those who will vote in the 1st round

A few days before the Presidential, and while abstention looks very high, a station in Haute-Savoie promises to reward voters. A special package will be put in place for those who “perform their civic act”.

The resort of Les Gets, in Haute-Savoie, will launch an operation called “Tous Skitoyens”, on Sunday April 10, the day of the first round of the presidential election, with a package priced at just 1 euro.

“By offering voters a ski pass at 1 euro per day, the Les Gets/Morzine ski area wishes to encourage skiers to take part in the ballot for the first round of the French presidential election on Sunday April 10, 2022. Because practicing your leisure preferred on Sunday is not incompatible with that of accomplishing a civic act ”wrote the resort of Les Gets on its website.

Usually offered at 37.40 euros, this pass is also valid for pedestrians “who will take advantage of the gondolas to discover the walks and the magnificent panorama of the Mont-Blanc chain”, noted the station.

Children also affected

To take advantage of this offer, the skier must present his voter’s card stamped on April 10 at the cash desk. A valid power of attorney signed by the administration is also accepted. On the other hand, a skier can only have one day pass.

This operation is not limited to adults. Children are also affected. Les Gets resort also offers a reduced child pass at the same price as the voting adult, within the limit of one child pass per adult.
