Indeed, the firm announced on its blog “ switch to mobile-first content creation to follow the trend and the observations of its users. Beyond its portrait mode, it has therefore reviewed its tools, adapting them to smartphones and tablets. This shift also allows him to ensure that viewing presentations on the screens of these devices remains intuitive and pleasant.
On the app, portrait mode can be accessed through the Orientation menu on the Design tab. A simple button allows you to switch from one view to another, without affecting the formatting. Convenient to start your presentation on a computer and resume it on a mobile, for example.
However, you should know that this mode is, for the time being, limited to versions 2.68 and later of the Insider program of the Office suite. Reserved for iPhone and iPad users, it should be generalized after this test phase open to the public. The firm has not communicated regarding this feature for Android.
