All the new TVs from TCL for 2024, from 43 to…115 inches!

A few months ago, we discovered the X955 at CES in Las Vegas, the largest television in the world with a diagonal of 115 inches, and took in hand the 98-inch model. After a bit of waiting, this model finally arrives in France, where it will be accompanied by a host of other models since TCL presented no less than four additional ranges. Covering all prices and all diagonals, they are in addition to the X955 and C805 already on the market.

Mini-Led is obviously at the heart of the manufacturer’s strategy with Google TV for OS and good quality/price ratios, but also more affordable LCD models to equip yourself without breaking the bank.

The X955 for giant and ultra-bright Mini-Led

We start with the Mini-Led, carried by the X955 series. This is reserved for those who have a (very) large living room since there are only giant 85 and 98 inch screens, available for a few months, and the giant 115 inch which hits the market on April 13 .

If these models include the best technologies from the manufacturer in terms of sound, number of backlight zones and peak light (we measured a peak at 2400 cd/m² on the 98 inch!), the portfolio must also be solid: count a whopping €25,000 for the 115 inch.

The C89 for high-end Mini-Led

Before the release of the Mini-Led C95 series at the end of the year, TCL presented its C89 with an impressive technical sheet. We will find a light peak announced between 3300 and 3500 cd/m² – on a reduced window, the result will certainly be lower during our tests -, a refresh at 144 Hz with Freesync Premium for gamers and a sound system which promising announcement.

The C89s will be available over the next few days at the following prices:

  • 65” – €2500
  • 75” – €3000
  • 85” – €3500
  • 98” – €4499

Affordable LCD in all sizes with the C65

For its more affordable ranges, TCL also offers more classic LCD, which is available in two series (or two ½ series):

The C65 series is in fact divided into C65 and C65 Pro which are quite different, although they have 4K definition and 60 Hz refresh rate in common. The Pro versions will only be sold in 55, 65 and 75 inches. Taking advantage of Full-Led backlighting with local dimming, they will be brighter.

The non-Pro C65s will make do with Edge LED backlighting and logically lower brightness. On the other hand, we will find more options in terms of sizes, since the C65 is available from 43 inches to the very large 98 inches.

The C65 Pro in 75 inches.

It is worth highlighting an oddity in terms of price: the C65 Pro 55, 65 and 75 inches are priced at the same price as the C65 of equivalent size! Nonsense which can be explained by references that can only be found at this or that reseller. If you have the choice, we advise you to turn to the Pro versions, unless you want to opt for small 43 or 50 inch screens, or giant 85 or 98 which only exist in classic C65.

We don’t have all the prices, but here are some to get an idea. We will therefore be able to get our hands on an XXL television at the price of an Oled from the competition (with certainly less impressive image quality):

  • 55” – €699
  • 65” – €899
  • 85” – €1800
  • 98” – €3000

The entry-level P75s

Finally, people with a smaller budget can turn to the P75 range (4K, 60 Hz) equipped with entry-level LEDs and limited brightness. The diagonals range from 43 to 75 inches, and it will cost barely €600 for the 55 inch and €800 for the 65 inch.
