What do the almond and stiletto shapes have in common? Together they create the new nail trend that we are now wearing in different ways.
Almondetto Nails: The term sounds a bit like Amaretto – but has (almost) nothing to do with the Italian, nutty liqueur. In fact, it’s all about the rounded shape of the California nut, as it is often used as a template for manicures. This is also the case with the new nail trend that combines the best of two nail shapes. On the one hand, the nails are inspired by the classic, rounded “Almond”, but are also based on the super pointed stiletto cut.
Almondetto Nails: A classic shape with a sexy update
The fusion of almond and stiletto shape gives the nails a classy and sophisticated look. While the almond shape is naturally narrow and has a rounded tip, the stiletto shape is razor-sharp. Combining both designs together creates a classic but dramatic look. Admittedly, he is also a little sexy!
3 ways to wear the nail trend
1. Fullcover and natural
The nail trend can of course be designed in different ways. Whether short or long, an Almondetto shape always looks tasteful! If the pointed, eye-catching shape is already noticeable enough for you – especially in everyday life – it’s best to stick to a uniform, natural color with the paint. Nail polish in beige, brown, cream or rosé are exactly the right choice. They look delicate and can be easily combined with your own wardrobe in the office, for everyday life or in the evening. At home you file your nails with one Metal or sapphire nail file. The coarser side is used to shape the nail and shorten it if necessary, while the finer-grained side smoothes the outer edges. A clear base coat then ensures longer durability, and a gel varnish in the desired color creates a glossy effect! Attention: Don’t forget the topcoat for durability. Finally, run the fine-grained side over the sides again and you’re done!
2. Bright French
Also a sweet one French manicure looks beautiful on the Almondetto Nails. For the ideal, colorful French, you adapt it to your own nail bed after arrowing and applying a base coat. The polish is delicately applied to the sides with a nail brush; the French can be wider towards the tip. Important: The negative space, i.e. the piece of nail that is not covered in French, results in an even oval. If you are not very good with polish and brushes, take a small silicone sponge, dab some nail polish on it and press the nail into the soft shape. By slightly slipping the material over, the perfect French shape is created. Tip: Blue, purple, pink or orange put you in a particularly good mood in autumn.
3. Mother of pearl
The spice lies in the brevity and the preciousness lies in the shine – yes, that sounds like a cheesy calendar saying, but let’s be honest: a simpler manicure also looks good. The slight shimmer is also reminiscent of the popular Hailey Bieber nails. For a glossy look, keep your nails shorter and use a sponge to apply some pigment to the base coat. After rubbing in, the result is fixed with a top coat. The natural, yet eye-catching look is finished.
