Apprenticeships celebrated their comeback in 2022: Last year, 2452 apprentices started their first year in Salzburg. This means that the level of 2019 with 2497 apprentices has almost been reached again.
That is an increase of 6.2 percent compared to 2021. A total of 7981 apprentices are currently completing an apprenticeship in the state and are being trained to become future specialists. There are currently 1,899 vacancies for apprenticeships, but only 328 are looking for apprenticeships. This means that a person looking for an apprenticeship can currently choose one of almost six vacancies. There is a search in almost all sectors.
