You can use aloe vera as a houseplant. If in its regions of origin it can reach a meter high, in France, it is easily found in pots of reasonable size. Not only is this plant pretty, but it also serves to purify the ambient air.
Once you’ve adopted it, repot it in a mix of sand and potting soil with clay pebbles at the bottom. Be careful not to water it more than once a week in summer and even less in winter. Having a plant directly at home will also allow you to regularly collect leaves to have fresh gel.

If you want to use it immediately, cut a leaf in half lengthwise and scrape it with a spoon. Place the gel in the bowl of a mixer and mix until you get a malleable texture. Add a little honey to keep it up to 5 days in the fridge.
