Alone in the Dark: more bad news, a surprising apology from THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic And Interactive Pieces have been preparing a remake of Alone in the Dark for a while nowa cult horror game originally designed by Frédérick Raynal and often considered one of the pioneers of survival horror. The title was expected last October, but the studios postponed the release to avoid competition, as there were numerous video game releases during this period.

Alone in the Dark was therefore expected on January 16, but now THQ Nordic announcement a new postponement ! This time, there is no question of avoiding the competition, the start of the year is quite calm in terms of video game releases. So what is the reason? Well the editor explains that “the Christmas period would have been filled with stress and anything but a joyful time” for Interactive Pieces. The well-being of the teams is a top priority and both companies want to avoid any risk of crunch during the Christmas holidays. Additionally, THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive want to ensure that the game not only meets but exceeds the community’s expectations, especially with the stellar performances of Hollywood stars David and Jodie as the main protagonists.

After this postponement, Alone in the Dark release date now set for March 20, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
