Aloy introduces us to her new partner in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores

Far from having overcommunicated on this extension since its announcement, Guerrilla Games still shares a short launch trailer, if need be to remind how much the studio masters its subject artistically and technically. Forbidden Westit’s that game in which every single NPC is so neat they’d pass for a protagonist in any other AAA production, and that will surely be the case with Seyka again.

Featured in this video, Seyka is a marine belonging to the Quen tribe, the (relatively) technologically advanced clan that Aloy discovered while walking part way with young Alva in the main story of Forbidden West. The Burning Shores expansion promises to reveal more about these people from across the ocean, which will include an alliance with Seyka, partner of the heroine in the entirety of this additional chapter. So much so that Aloy will need her new friend’s help more than once, something that doesn’t happen often.

It must be said that as the last shot of the video reminds us, a fight is being prepared against a Horus, a metal demon of disproportionate proportions against which Aloy will borrow a new weapon in passing, clearly from the organization Zénith Lointain. Nothing like this on the program for PS4 players, a platform that would have apparently encountered some difficulties, whether with the animation of this mastodon or the new technology of volumetric clouds. See you on April 19 for a short stay on the Flaming Coast, while having a thought for Sylens and more precisely his interpreter, the late Lance Reddick.
