This well-known repeat offender of the police services was spotted thanks to the city’s video surveillance cameras.

During the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, a little after 2:30 a.m., a well-known individual from the police services was filmed by video surveillance cameras in the town of Le Cannet, near Cannes, entering the parking lot of a residence where he does not live.
A few minutes later, the same cameras show him leaving the parking lot on a scooter. Knowing that several procedures are underway at the Cannes police station against this man for thefts of two wheels in the area, the municipal police decide to check the vehicle. But the individual refuses to comply and flees on the scooter despite numerous orders from the agents.

The latter ends up abandoning the two-wheeler, continuing his escape on foot. Officers then find that the abandoned scooter has “the characteristic signs of a stolen vehicle, and the license plate is registered as stolen since January 27, 2019”details the same police source.
In his flight, the respondent loses his mobile phone which is recovered by the agents. A few hours later, this same individual is again spotted on the cameras. He was immediately arrested by the police and taken into custody. The owner of the scooter, notified of the discovery of his vehicle, decided to file a complaint.
