(CercleFinance.com) – Alpha MOS announced on Tuesday that its subsidiary BoydSense had been awarded as part of the ‘DCB Open Innovation Challenge’, an event aimed at encouraging innovative projects in the field of diabetes management.
A jury of experts made up of scientists, healthcare professionals and patients with diabetes decided to honor BoydSense for its glucose monitoring device based on the analysis of exhaled air.
The project was competing alongside 70 projects from 22 countries.
BoydSense specializes in the development of non-invasive breath analysis solutions for chronic disease monitoring. Its first application, currently under development, is this miniaturized breath analyzer for monitoring glucose concentration.
Alpha MOS shares rose 7% on Tuesday morning on the Paris Stock Exchange following this announcement. The title has climbed 21.9% over the past three months, but still shows a decline of around 14% since the start of the year.
