The importance of thermal paste to ensure good dissipation of the heat emitted by the processor.

Neglected by the average user, the thermal paste is a key accessory to make the link between the processor and the selected heatsink. Alphacool wants to be at the forefront with its new Apex which it announces for 17 W/mK.

The ultimate in thermal paste?

In reality, we will quickly pass on the value put forward by Alphacool insofar as precisely, the measurements are not carried out by independent entities: each manufacturer does a little what he wants.

Still, Alphacool has a certain reputation in the industry and its new thermal paste could be of interest to enlightened amateurs. Far from metal-based products, it does not present any danger for the equipment and Alphacool claims to have worked as much on its conductivity as on its viscosity and its lifespan.

The manufacturer mentions the presence of ” very low thermal impedance nano-powder and states that the product comes in 4g packs with a small cap that you can screw on to avoid drying out the remaining paste after use.

Apex Paste should be available by the end of the week on the official Alphacool website, but we don’t have any pricing details yet.
