Alpine accident – Hallein paraglider crashed from a great height

A serious accident occurred in Rußbach (Hallein) on Sunday afternoon. A 31-year-old from Hallein fell from a height of ten to fifteen meters with his paraglider.

The Halleiner had previously flown away from the summit of the Gamsfeld in Rußbach. Shortly after 2 p.m. the man lost control of his paraglider during the landing process. The pilot went into a spin and fell from a height of ten to fifteen meters into a meadow. Witnesses immediately notified the emergency services and provided first aid. The injured Halleiner was flown to the LKH Salzburg with the C6 rescue helicopter.
