Cock-a-doodle Doo ! Alpine marks the blow by announcing seven new electric models by 2030, a sign of the entry into a new era for the manufacturer. Ambitious financial goals and a revolutionary new platform, we tell you everything here.

The French car brand has just unveiled its plans for the next seven years. As a priority, a program based on the electrification of future vehicles that will come out of their Dieppe factory. The announcement of seven new vehicles from very different ranges marks a firm strategy on the part of the firm: to strengthen its position in the electromobility market by ensuring its financial growth. A recent concept had already made our mouths water last year; here is what has happened since.

Alpine’s financial ambition

Five years after the revival of the Alpine group thanks to the new A110, the manufacturer is still in good health. From 2021 to 2022, its vehicle sales have increased by 33%. With such a good start, the group does not intend to stop there. He has set himself ambitious financial goals in anticipation of the years to come in order to remain at the top of the basket.

Alpine is primarily aiming for a balanced budget around 2026, generating a total turnover of 2 billion euros. In the longer term still, it should reach 8 billion with an operating margin of 10%. No mystery, to achieve this, it will be necessary to leave the sports coupe niche and offer a wider range of vehicles.

The APP platform and new electric models

Alpine Performance Platform (APP) is the basis that will be used for the production of all future models of the brand. It is specially designed to fully exploit the potential of electrification while allowing the brand to offer a diversified range of vehicles. For the sake of profitability also, there is no denying it!

Among the models announced, we will therefore find: a GT crossover, an electric A110, an A290 city car, an A310 four-seater sports coupe also available in a convertible version. The last two vehicles are still kept secret but will probably be… SUVs, no offense to the brand’s purists!

Armed with its all-new APP platform and with big ambitions for the future, Alpine is ready to successfully navigate the shift to electrification. The French brand clearly wants to position itself as a central player in the electric car industry and intends to compete with strong manufacturers like the German Porsche.
