GTA 6 on PS5, Xbox Series and…?
The big question that arises is the availability of GTA 6 on PC when it launches. In the official press release accompanying the trailer, it is mentioned that the game will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. No reference has been made to a possible PC release, leaving players in the dark. This is all the more surprising given that GTA games tend to have a longer lifespan on PC, in particular thanks to the addition of mods, each crazier than the last.
Faced with this lack of information regarding the PC version, many media outlets began contacting Rockstar Games for clarification. All that remains is to wait for a little more information on the subject. This situation raises questions about Rockstar Games’ strategy.
The PC, clearly one of the most used supports in the world, notably thanks to markets such as China or Korea, makes it curious the choice of the American developer to follow the same strategy as for GTA 5, that is to say -say a release delayed by a year. This decision is all the more surprising when we consider the rise in power and the growing presence of the PC among users.
Vice City, the return
This new version of GTA marks a return to Vice City, located in the fictional state of Leonida. A particularly notable aspect of GTA 6 is the introduction of Lucia, the franchise’s first female protagonist. Her journey, marked by a stint in prison, seems to plunge her back into a world of crime.
What strikes everyone is the beauty of the graphics engine which seems to have benefited from a serious boost, in order to fit a little more into its time.
Some will undoubtedly regret the abandonment of the 70/80 references for a contemporary era. But, at least, we can say that the trailer promises a lot of craziness. Oddly enough, he also promises twerking. All for 2025. We will therefore have to be extremely patient because it is not for right away. Even less it seems, if you play on PC.
