Season 4 of The Boys will be available on Amazon Prime Video on June 13, 2024. And after that, what does the future hold for the series? Terrific news has just fallen.
If there was only one Prime Video series to remember, it would surely be The Boys. Eric Kripke’s show (Supernatural) was immediately found on the platform and in the world of the small screen. Fans of the original comic were able to immerse themselves in a major American work, and newcomers were able to discover a fierce, violent and ultra-gory satire. An original Amazon program that has enjoyed gigantic success since its debut in 2019 with season 1.
Huge news for The Boys on Amazon Prime Video
There’s only a little less than a month left before the first three episodes of The Boys season 4 arrive on Prime Video. They will be available from June 13, 2024, but after that, Amazon has chosen to return to a weekly broadcast, most certainly to create high expectations and prevent people from subscribing, binge-watching the season over a weekend , and resilient thereafter. So be patient since the final episode will not be broadcast until July 18, 2024. And afterward, what will happen for these superheroes who have all the makings of anti-heroes? Retirement time? Impossible for the creators and the SVOD service to draw a line under The Boys.
In an official press release, we learn that there will indeed be a season 5 of The Boys since Amazon and Sony Pictures have given the green light. “Since launch, fans around the world have followed The Boys on this wild and uncompromising adventure. We couldn’t be more proud of our producers, writers, cast and crew who brought this awesome madness to life. Now, with the announcement of a fifth chapter, we can’t wait to see where Eric Kripke goes next.” said Katherine Pope, president of Sony Pictures Television (via Amazon).

The showrunner also commented on the excellent news and wanted to thank Sony and Amazon MGM.
The Boys might be the best job I’ll ever have. What other series allows me to write about politics, capitalism, family, and exploding genitals – even if it’s not in that order? The cast and crew are deeply grateful to Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM for giving us the opportunity to tell this story with a new season. My only problem being that due to a year that promises to be free of any conflict or misinformation, we’re not sure what to write about…
