A white list dog has been terrorizing an allotment garden in Vienna-Floridsdorf for three years. The four-legged friend has already attacked a person three times: once it hit the neighbor, twice the same postman. After the last meeting, he had to be taken to the hospital with the ambulance because of a bite wound. The neighbors are desperate, the city refers to an ongoing procedure.
A family with a so-called list dog moved in about two years ago. The first incident happened shortly afterwards. “Suddenly the dog ran up to my partner and injured him,” says resident Brigitte P.
The family filed a complaint. The dog owner received a fine and had to pay pain and suffering. But the dog stayed with her. A year later it hit the postman. He suffered injuries to his hand and abdomen. Again nothing happened. And so the four-legged friend attacked the same delivery person again last week. “The dog moved freely in the settlement. Our employee was just throwing mail at the neighbors’, explains a spokesman for the Post. This time the result was a bite wound, including being picked up by the ambulance.
In every incident, the dog owner forgot to lock the garden door. The police always filed a complaint, but the animal was not taken from them. “An acceptance because of imminent danger is a matter for the police. They decided against it, ”the city said. MA 58 already submitted the dog to the animal quarters in 2019, but the owner raised an objection. A new procedure is now in progress.
