FC Sevilla punishes two bad United mistakes

As in the first leg, Man United makes life difficult for themselves against Sevilla FC. The Spaniards are also in the semi-finals of the Europa League thanks to two blunders by the English. Meanwhile, Juventus Turin is also in the last four.
Record winner FC Sevilla has defeated Manchester United and can dream of the next title in the Europa League. The Spaniards again took advantage of the mistakes of the English and prevailed 3-0 (1-0) in the second leg of the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, Seville now meets the Italian record champions Juventus Turin, who at the same time drew 1-1 (1-1) at Sporting Lisbon thanks to the first-leg success.
In Seville, the six-time European Cup winner first benefited from a bad pass from United captain Harry Maguire, which Youssef En-Nesyri (8th) used to give Sevilla the lead. The striker scored again after a blunder by Manchester keeper David de Gea (81′) who bounced the ball off his foot when accepting it. Loic Bade had previously scored to make it 2-0 (47′). Maguire had already conceded one of two late own goals in the first leg (2-2), causing Manchester to lose a 2-0 lead.
Juventus handed the draw at Sporting after 1-0 in the first leg. Adrien Rabiot (9th) gave Juve the lead, Marcus Edwards (20th/penalty) equalized for Sporting. The Portuguese then pushed for victory but were unlucky.
Meanwhile, star coach José Mourinho made it into the top four with AS Roma, where he meets Bayer Leverkusen in May. After the 1-0 defeat in the first leg, Roma turned the tide at home against Feyenoord Rotterdam with a 4-1 (2-1, 0-0) win after extra time. Leonardo Spinazzola (60′) scored the lead, Paulo Dybala (89′) saved Rome into extra time after Igor Paixao (80′) equalized in the meantime. There Stephan El Shaarawy (101st) and Lorenzo Pellegrini (109th) made the semi-finals perfect. Rotterdam acted in the last few minutes after a red card against Santiago Gimenez (120th) outnumbered.
In the Conference League, AC Florenz, AZ Alkmaar, FC Basel and West Ham United made it into the top four teams. After the 4:1 win in the first leg, Florence could afford a 2:3 (0:1) home defeat against Lech Poznan. Alkmaar beat RSC Anderlecht 4-1 (2-0, 2-0, 2-0) on penalties to reverse their 2-0 first-leg defeat. West Ham United easily won 4-1 (1-1) against KAA Gent. FC Basel won the rest of the quarter-finals at OGC Nice 2-1 (1-1, 0-1) after extra time, in the first leg both teams had separated 2-2.
