Alstom: signs a 355 ME contract in Chile


(CercleFinance.com) – Alstom has won a contract worth 355 million euros to supply its CBTC Urbalis signaling system as well as 37 Metropolis trains and 20 years of maintenance, in Santiago de Chile.

Each of the 37 automatic Metropolis trains with a length of 102 m that will be delivered for the Santiago metro will offer a transport capacity of up to 1,250 passengers.

‘The new trains associated with the CBTC signaling system will contribute to optimizing the capacity, performance and efficiency of the new line 7 of the Santiago metro, which should be inaugurated in 2027’ indicates the group.
