Alstom signs contract with Newark Liberty Airport


(CercleFinance.com) – Alstom has signed a contract with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Newark Liberty International Airport for the provision of operation and maintenance services for the airport’s Innovia monorail, known as AirTrain Newark, for the next 7 years.

The contract represents an amount of approximately 250 million euros and includes an option for an additional year.

Alstom will be responsible for continuous train operation and dispatch, vehicle fleet maintenance, station gates, guideways, power distribution system, washing stations, signage and facilities.

The fleet is made up of 15 Innovia monorails, each with six cars, serving six stations, including the new Terminal A, on almost five kilometers of elevated tracks.
