Alstom wins a contract for the Green line of the Tel-Aviv tramway


PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Railway equipment manufacturer Alstom announced on Tuesday that the TMT consortium of which it is a part and their partners Electra Ltd. & Dan Transportation had won the contract for the Green line of the light metro in Tel Aviv, a project valued at 2.6 billion euros, of which Alstom’s share is estimated at 858 million euros.

This consortium won the contract to design, manufacture, maintain and finance the Green line of the Tel-Aviv light metro from the NTA (Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd).

“Alstom will be responsible for the design, engineering, supply, integration, testing and commissioning of the railway system, including tracks, electrification, power supply (saving system of energy, Hesop), signaling, the communication system and the supply of the 98 Citadis XO5 cars for the tram,” the group said in a press release.
