Paris, October 13, 2023 –
In its judgment of October 11, 2023, the Court of Cassation confirmed on almost all grounds the judgment rendered on September 16, 2021 by the Paris Court of Appeal. The latter had rejected all of Moneta’s claims and had ordered her to pay damages to Altamir, Altamir Gérance and Maurice Tchenio in compensation for the damage caused by her constant denigration of them.
The Court nevertheless partially overturned the appeal judgment on the grounds that the judges of the Court of Appeal had distorted Moneta’s writings on the invoicing of Altamir’s management fees and referred the parties to the Court of Appeal from Paris on this point.
