Alten aims for “satisfactory” organic growth in 2022 after +20.7% in the 1st quarter

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The engineering and technology consulting group Alten said on Wednesday that it expected “satisfactory” organic growth in 2022, while it stood at 20.7 % in the first trimester.

“The start of 2022 is a continuation of the second half of 2021,” the group commented in a press release. “The growth of the activity will depend on the evolution of the very unstable health, geopolitical and macroeconomic environments”, he underlined.

The group also intends to pursue its “targeted” external growth strategy.

In the last quarter, the turnover of the engineering group amounted to 894.6 million euros, up 31.3% on a reported basis. Growth was 18.9% in France and 38.6% internationally.

According to a consensus made by FactSet, analysts expected an average quarterly turnover of 846 million euros.

“All sectors of activity are growing, in particular the finance/tertiary, electronics, automotive and civil aeronautics sectors,” Alten said. “These last two, strongly impacted by the Covid crisis, are benefiting from a catch-up dynamic,” added the group.

“Most geographies are showing strong organic growth, above 20%,” Alten also said, adding that only Scandinavia and Switzerland had recorded growth of less than 10%.
